Summary

Responsibilities

  • Function as a collaborative member of the CHS marketing and communications team to execute and develop communications to reach cooperative owners and support communications needs of business units and the CHS Board of Directors.
  • Manage content strategy and prepare content development related to programs/events and related needs for internal and external communications channels.
  • Understand and represent CHS enterprise strategies and priorities in all communications efforts.
  • Manage and create outbound communications to inform CHS owners on CHS governance and enterprise results, such as reporting on quarterly financial results or describing strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and managing in-person and virtual events , including assisting with developing objectives, identifying metrics and reporting results.
  • Assist with planning, preparing and repurposing presentations to inform and represent CHS initiatives to other audiences. 
  • Follow and help refine editorial and approval processes to ensure content meets business objectives, follows appropriate editorial style guidelines and meets brand standards.
  • Create and share regular reports on campaign and content performance.
  • Manage freelancers and other outside vendors for content development and creative design.
  • Collaborate with CHS and freelance photographers/ videographers to plan and deliver imagery, produced videos and other audiovisual products to support business objectives and augment company stock image and footage libraries.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 7+ years of experience in Communications and/or Marketing

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Communications, Communication Arts, Marketing, Journalism, Business, English, or related field
  • Strategic content creator with the ability to plan and execute in collaboration with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong creative thinker
  • High level of collaboration and teamwork
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse.

Physical Requirements

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, wellness programs, life insurance, health and dependent care spending accounts, paid time off, 401(k), pension, profit sharing, short- and long-term disability, tuition reimbursement and adoption assistance, subject to the eligibility requirements for each benefit plan.
