Sr. Maintenance Planner

Summary
CHS, Inc. is hiring a Sr. Maintenance Planner to support our Laurel, MT refinery to increase the efficiency of the maintenance process through the efficient planning of work orders utilizing a computerized Maintenance Management System.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate maintenance day-to-day and plant condition specific activities. Prioritize and assign resources to complete scheduled tasks.
- Create job plans, determine labor, materials, equipment, and contractor needs. Order job materials from the warehouse and initiate requisitions for non-stock material. Schedule contractors when needed to augment plant staff.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Drafting, Operations, MOC Coordinator, and others as needed to define detailed plans for each MOC job.
- Maintain an orderly and systematic job plan library.
- Interact with shops performing work on CHS equipment for control of quality, cost and timing.
- Assist as needed with repairs and routine maintenance.
- Respond to plant emergency maintenance that may arise.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with applicable government regulations and company policy.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School diploma or GED
- 4+ years of experience in Production, Operations, and/or Maintenance
Additional Qualifications
- Prior refinery maintenance planning experience strongly preferred
- College degree or similar training preferred
- 4+ years of refinery maintenance craft experience
- Good working knowledge of business processes for Maintenance, Asset Management, Reliability, and Mechanical Integrity
- Good working knowledge of Maximo and/or SAP CMMS systems
- Excellent self-leadership and time management skills.
- Awareness of ISA, ASME, API, and OSHA codes, standards and compliance requirements as related to refining industry.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to communicate effectively with refinery crafts, operators, supervision, engineering, managerial, and staff personnel.
- Attention to detail, organizational, and record-keeping ability.
- Able to effectively organize, plan and schedule work
- Ability to analyze cost, to manage risk, and to implement plans.

- Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
