Senior Manager, Lubricants Unbranded Sales & Channel Development

Summary
Step into the role of Senior Manager – Lubricants Unbranded Sales & Channel Development, a dynamic leadership position that merges private label (PL) sales and channel management (CLT and CHS Distribution). You’ll lead a team to drive significant unbranded volume growth and manage our channel distribution network. This role involves identifying new markets, channels, and products, while collaborating closely with operations, technical services, IT, legal, and credit to manage the overall business.
Responsibilities
Manage the Private Label Sales Team:
- Set department priorities, objectives, and work goals for PL Sales and Channel management
- Develop short to mid-term business strategies
- Plan, budget, and lead prospecting and sales activities
- Ensure team performance and strategic business outcomes
- Solve technical and operational problems for PL sales and channel opportunities
- Guide decisions based on resource availability and functional objectives
- Act as the subject matter expert for PL and Channel strategy for lubricants
- Influence internal and external partners, articulate financial success, and negotiate changes
- Manage the sales pipeline via Microsoft Dynamics Sales
- Oversee pricing and margin targets for each private label customer
- Lead expert and senior PL and Channel professionals
Grow the PL Business Portfolio:
- Create and manage the sales pipeline against budget using Microsoft Dynamics Sales
- Plan, budget, and manage accounts within your portfolio
- Oversee pricing and revenue management within your portfolio
Oversee Channel Distribution (CLT Network and CHS Distribution):
- Create and manage KPIs to measure performance
- Conduct annual audits of facilities/capabilities and performance grading
- Lead semi-annual Distributor Advisory Council (DAC) meetings
- Manage P&L
- Supervise a manager-level position responsible for channel distribution
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School diploma and/or GED
- 5+ years of experience in sales and/or Business Development
- Prior leadership experience with progressively advancing responsibilities
Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, or a related field
- MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience within the lubricants industry
- 10+ years of sales management experience
- 5+ years of distribution management experience
- Strong understanding of cooperative structures and the private label lubricants market
- Proficiency in sales pipeline fundamentals, setting sales & marketing strategies, and driving execution
- Proven ability to set and manage KPIs to improve performance and efficiency
- Demonstrated capability to manage complex long-term projects
- Experienced collaborator with a proven ability to unify teams towards common goals
- P&L management experience and financial acumen
- Proficient in CRM (Microsoft Dynamics)
- National account management within sales
- Strong negotiating skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
