Trade Execution & Logistics Coordinator

Summary
CHS Inc. has an exciting opportunity in our Global Grain & Processing business unit located in Guadalajara, Mexico. We are looking for a Trade Execution & Logistics Coordinator to support the export of agricultural commodities with a primary focus on rail execution. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to navigate both operational and customer-facing responsibilities in a fast-paced, international environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary execution contact for rail shipments of agricultural commodities (corn, soybeans, grain by-products) from the U.S. to Mexico, ensuring timely and accurate coordination from origin to destination.
- Support vessel execution as needed, particularly when coordinating downstream logistics or aligning vessel discharge with delivery timing.
- Coordinate with CHS internal teams, freight providers, customs brokers, and third parties to ensure smooth documentation and delivery of rail shipments.
- Track and report on railcar movements, border crossings, and customs clearance using CHS systems and third-party tools.
- Support and monitor CHS’s warehouse program in Mexico, working with partners and local contractors to ensure proper inventory control, documentation flow, and alignment with customer contracts.
- Maintain accurate records of rail shipments and warehouse inventory, helping support reconciliation and customer service inquiries.
- Ensure contracts and shipment documents are issued accurately and align with CHS and customer requirements.
- Provide status updates and problem-solve logistics issues (e.g., delays, demurrage risks, documentation discrepancies) in real time.
- Collaborate with the Mexico commercial team and U.S.-based execution/logistics teams to align on planning, priorities, and customer service expectations.
- Identify and support process improvement opportunities in execution and warehouse coordination.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, trade execution, or international transportation.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook).
- Knowledge of NAEGA, GAFTA, or ANEC trade terms and international grain documentation practices.
- Familiarity with rail, ocean, and intermodal transport, especially involving U.S. to Mexico trade.
- Experience working with customs brokers or international compliance teams.
