Summary
CHS is hiring a Seasonal Scale Assistant to support operations at its grain facility in Cottonwood, ID during peak agricultural seasons. This role involves weighing and grading grain for inbound and outbound trucks, managing documentation, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable using computer systems, and able to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Responsibilities also include answering phones, maintaining a clean work environment, and assisting team members while upholding a strong safety culture. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking seasonal work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
This position is available for start in early June and will last 2-3 months depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Weigh and grade grain in all inbound and outbound trucks using computer and manual tools for measurement.
- Provide a high level of customer service by addressing customers in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner.
- Answer telephone promptly and direct calls as needed.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Assist other personnel as needed.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- 0-6+ months of Operations, Business Operations and/or Customer Service
Additional Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- General data entry and computer skills
- Ability to work longer days, weekends, and/or holidays during peak seasons

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
