Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Wholesale Lubricants Field Sales Representative on the Lubricants Sales team. This position will be responsible for the sale and marketing of Cenex Branded lubricants for North Dakota. Incumbents must be detail oriented, have strong negotiation skills with excellent communication skills both verbal and written, and able to solve problems with creative solutions.

This person must live within the sales territory of North Dakota.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Partner with key targeted accounts, engaging their commitment to develop and execute an account level growth plan which is reviewed on an annual, quarterly and/or monthly basis to meet the organic sales growth plan of the lubricants business unit.
  • Utilize market intelligence and competitive landscape to forecast and promote the sales and marketing of lubricant products to targeted national accounts (direct sales).
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of product offerings and manage the product and technical sales process. Analyze targeted markets and prospect potential customers.
  • Gain competitive knowledge, create sales and marketing plans and drive growth in the different segments of the lubricant business, such as agriculture, construction, trucking, and industrial markets.
  • Support customers’ sales resources in identifying and prospecting various market segments, making sales presentations, and will work closely with customers to gain new incremental business.
  • Provide account services and ensure high post-sales satisfaction while facilitating long-term relationships within the designated geographic area across multiple customer market channels.
  • Build strong teamwork and relationships with external and internal customers and/or other departments.
  • Manage resources effectively, clearly defining priorities and expectations.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High school diploma and/or GED.
  • 4+ years of sales or related experience
  • Ability to travel up to 80%

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • General knowledge of cooperative systems
  • OMA, CLS and/or other certifications
  • General knowledge of lubricants or related products.
  • Experience with selling concepts, products, and programs to a diverse customer base.
  • Negotiation skills with win-win business solutions and adjust sales strategy based on market conditions.
  • Ability to enable strong customer relationships.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
