Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity to join our EMEA Trade Execution team as a Container Export Execution Specialist, based in our Barcelona office.
This role plays a key part in connecting our cooperative’s global operations with international markets, adding value for our producers, owners, customers, and stakeholders through precise and compliant export execution.

Responsibilities

•    Execute container export shipments through the BSM system, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant documentation aligned with international regulations.
•    Coordinate with government agencies (USDA, US Customs, FDA, etc.) and steamship lines to meet logistical and contractual requirements.
•    Collaborate closely with merchandising, logistics, and accounting teams to ensure contracts are properly set up and executed.
•    Build and maintain effective relationships with customers to ensure accurate and timely shipments, providing updates and ongoing support.
•    Oversee customer contracts in designated trade regions, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
•    Generate accurate invoices and support timely collection and application of payments.
•    Apply relevant government regulations and compliance tools, advising customers and ensuring internal adherence to policies.
•    Maintain accurate spreadsheets tracking various commodities and bookings.
•    Promote a strong safety culture by identifying hazards and correcting or escalating unsafe conditions.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

•    Strong attention to detail and accountability.
•    Ability to understand the financial impact of transactions.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
•    Experience in logistics coordination and export documentation.
•    Knowledge of contract processes and compliance tools.

Additional Qualifications

•    Flexible, enthusiastic, and creative problem-solving mindset.
•    Ability to build cross-functional and international relationships.
•    Experience using systems such as BSM.
•    Familiarity with international trade and maritime transport regulations.
•    Previous experience in similar roles within the agribusiness or global logistics industry.
