Summary

CHS is hiring a Talent & Inclusion Principal - DEI, Recognition, and Listening within our Human Resources team, reporting to the Sr. Director of Talent & Inclusion.  
The leader in this role will be the recognized enterprise expert and lead the enterprise talent strategies focused on culture enablement through strategies and programs for inclusion and diversity, employee listening, and employee recognition.   
You will be an integral part of our global talent and inclusion center of excellence that ensures CHS has a broad and diverse pipeline of talent with the right skills and capabilities to help our owners grow.   

Responsibilities

  • Function as a strategic business advisor for business units regarding culture and inclusion; Develop comprehensive plans to foster a culture of engagement and champion practices that enhance the employee experience  
  • Develop and lead enterprise strategy, roadmaps, and operational plans for the following talent programs: Employee Listening; Employee Recognition; and Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Accessibility.  This includes owning the development, continuous improvement efforts, and deployment of enterprise solutions, programs, and resources 
  • Lead and engage project partners and indirect project teams; role model, champion and embed CHS’s capabilities and values into daily leadership practices  
  • Leverage data and external benchmarking, develop insights and actions to inform future strategy and optimize core talent practices.  

Inclusion & Diversity:     

  • Lead, engage, and influence key stakeholders at various levels across the organization, including but not limited to: enterprise leadership team, employee resource groups, hr business partners, values champion networks, I&D Advisory Council, and external DEI partnerships  
  • Partner with and advise Human Resources Leadership team and Enterprise Leadership team on large-scale and multi-year programming; specifically working with Global Sustainability team, Talent Acquisition, Stewardship and Total Rewards to enable their strategic goals  
  • Lead the strengthening, expansion and operations of our I&D partnerships, I&D Advisory Council and Employee Resource Groups to include team development, strategy planning, and empowering the teams to deliver against their annual goals  

Employee Listening:  

  • Influence and equip organization to embed insights from employee listening into business priorities; enable enterprise action plans and cross-business insights for key stakeholders with the ultimate goal of strengthening engagement across the enterprise.  
  • Lead, manage and deploy employee listening strategy across multiple channels (employee survey, pulse surveys, and onboarding surveys) and equip hr partners and people leaders to share results, take action, and create a positive work environment.   
  • Monitor and leverage data trends and external benchmarking and insights to inform recommendations.  

Employee Recognition  

  • Design enterprise employee recognition strategy and program which will include  defining goals and objectives, communicating about the importance and business impact of recognition, creating a program to drive enterprise recognition. 
  • Align recognition practices to enterprise purpose, values, capabilities, and policies and different employee experiences (anniversaries, key contributions, and values driven leadership).   
  • Influence and enable business unit specific recognition programs and pilot new technology to strengthen current employee recognition programs  

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED10+ years experience in DEI, Talent, or Human Resources, with at least 6+ years in DEI, serving in roles of increased scope 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and drive multiple enterprise strategies and enabling initiatives  
  • Demonstrated ability and success in creating and executing roadmaps and operational plans, leading and driving large complex global projects, and ensuring milestones are achieved  
  • Experience developing and driving strategies within multi-site and global organizations 
  • Prior experience creating and implementing various talent and inclusion programs to include but not limited to:   
    Inclusion & Diversity 
    Culture initiatives and programming 
    Employee Engagement 
    Recognition  
    Strong program and project management skills 
    Cross-cultural competence 
    Influential and inclusive leadership skills  
  • Experience with HR systems, e-learning systems, solution dashboards and talent analytics  
  • Training design, facilitation, and delivery  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint  
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills 
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills. 

Additional Qualifications

⦁    3-5+ years in Talent Management or Employee Engagement 

⦁    Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Business, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, or another related field

  •  DEI, PHR or SPHR certification 
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
