Equity Analyst (Experienced)

Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity our Patron Equities department. We are looking for a Patron Equities Analyst to join our team. You must be a detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy and customer service. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work in both a team environment and on self-directed tasks are necessary.
The Patron Equities department manages and responds to all aspects of inquiries related to CHS patronage. A patronage refund is a distinctive part of the cooperative form of business. When co-ops have a profit remaining at the end of the fiscal year they may distribute the profit back to the owners (members) in the form of patronage refund. These profits are distributed in direct proportion to a co-op owner's sales and purchases with the co-op (patronage).
Responsibilities
- Respond to all inquiries regarding policies on the issuance and/or redemption of equity
- Research and analyze inquiries/problems submitted by customers and/or their representatives and prepare verbal or written responses.
- Resolve customer questions as to why they were not included in a patronage allocation or redemption.
- Reconcile equity redemption requests receive for equity management reporting.
- Explain how patronage is determined, calculated, and established qualification for redemption of equity.
- Gain an understanding of CHS Articles and Bylaws, and various policies which determine whether a customer qualifies for patronage and/or redemption of equity.
- Understand the operations of CHS business units as they relate to the patronage process.
- Calculate patronage for larger customers, through collection of data from business units within CHS.
- Handle an average of 15-25 written and telephone inquiries daily, and 40 a day during peak periods.
- Collect additional information and/or documentation as needed for equity payments.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or Equity
Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field
- Previous experience in finance and agriculture business sector
- Working knowledge of cooperative membership and governing policies, practices and procedures, CHS specifically
- Working knowledge of SAP, Vistex and CRM software systems
- Advanced Excel and intermediate other MS Office skills
- Experience in reporting and analysis including critical thinking skills
- Data reconciling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify and solve problems, multi-task in a team setting

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
