Summary

The digital operations lead will oversee digital operations, with a focus on evolving our approach to digital channel execution, specifically electronic newsletters, email, podcasts, video platforms and more. The role will collaborate with our website lead and our social media lead. This role will help manage the communication team's tech stack and support how we are advancing the team's use of AI.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage digital operations, including the development, execution and reporting of key external communication channels: electronic newsletters, emails, podcast episodes and videos, among others.
  • Partner across the communications and marketing teams on content strategy to ensure content is relevant and engaging to key external audiences. Work alongside internal and external resources on creating content (videographers, photographers, writers, etc.).
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the effectiveness of content and communication channels (in partnership with website and social media leaders).
  • Manage, optimize and implement the communication team's technology solutions, ensuring the necessary tools and platforms are in place and being leveraged to its maximum benefit.
  • Collaborate across the communications team to leverage AI technologies to improve efficiency and engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional communication and marketing teams to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging across digital platforms.
  • Work closely with a data analyst to monitor and analyze digital performance metrics to inform strategy and improve outcomes.
  • Partner with other leaders to ensure that digital channels (social media, e-newsletters, email, etc.) work as one ecosystem for content distribution.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital communications and AI to drive innovation.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2+ years experience in digital communications, digital marketing or a related field.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience in agriculture, energy or retail industries.

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Proven experience in managing digital communication or marketing channels, including email marketing, podcast distribution, websites and social media.

  • Strong understanding of digital analytics and performance metrics.

  • Experience with technology stack management and optimization.

  • Experience working with AI technologies to enhance digital strategies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset.

  • Familiarity with CRM and digital automation tools.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • An ability to partner, collaborate and influence as a team.

  • This is a hybrid position that will report to CHS Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota headquarters 3 days per week.

  • Educational experience

      -Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, digital media or a related field, preferred
      -Advanced degree or certifications in digital marketing, AI or related areas, preferred

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
