Associate Logistics Specialist

Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Logistics Specialist in our Automated Fuel Delivery department within our Energy Division. This individual will partner with internal and external customers to coordinate and execute deliveries of refined fuels. You must be able to problem solve and make decisions quickly within the scope of your authority, prioritize tasks, work in a fast-paced logistics environment and work well under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily direction to hazmat delivery drivers working in a specific geographic area.
- Collaborate with the driver supervisors to give the drivers direction, maximize efficiencies and determine routing alternatives.
- Develop, communicate, and adjust routes utilizing the AFD routing software (Ortec) to achieve optimum efficiency and maximize profitability while maintaining uninterrupted supply of refined fuel products to the customer.
- Communicate with internal departments to proactively collect and utilize routing information to create and distribute routes.
- Establish relationships with CHS supply, terminal, and account management teams.
- Partner with internal and external customers to fulfil requests and resolve any issues that arise.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- 1+ years of logistics experience
- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge of Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics
Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Dispatch experience is preferred.
- Flexible schedule is required with possible extended hours during peak demand periods.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
