Summary

CHS Inc. has an opportunity in our Global Grains and Processing division. We are looking for an individual to join our Sunflower team in the research department working as a Seasonal Laborer. You will assist team members in a professional manner and promote a positive image of CHS. You must have the ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in thinning sunflower nurseries and variety trials.
  • Perform sunflower stand counts and quality evaluations.
  • Work in the sunflower nurseries assisting in tagging, bagging and pollinating plants.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to work outdoors in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
  • Ability to travel locally as needed - transportation is provided
  • Legible handwriting 
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.

If eligibility requirements are met, you may participate in 401(k).
