Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Country Operations Division for a Millwright to join our millwright crew in the preventative maintenance and repair of our grain storage facilities and equipment. You must have excellent communication skills, be detail oriented and be safety conscious about your work.
Compensation Data:
- Hourly $19.50 - $30.00 DOE
- This position has opportunity for promotion

Responsibilities
- Assist in backup for general company maintenance and repair and be available for emergency repairs and assistance on larger projects, including after business hour needs
- Assist in diagnosing problems and repair equipment as needed
- Could have the ability to recognize when to recommend outsourcing projects when necessary
- Assist with maintaining equipment lists with such information as machinery specifications, vendor information, drive unit specifications and other pertinent information for all equipment in the grain storage areas. This information will be useful in the future for establishing histories and be invaluable in decision making about maintenance, repair and replacement of equipment
- Assist in reviewing and performing preventative and predictive maintenance of the equipment
- Assist in the housekeeping duties assigned by his/her supervisor, both in the shop and on the job site
- Assist in the responsibilities for removal of all debris in the shop or when finalizing a job site
- Must be responsible for learning the companies Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures as well as Permit Required Confined Space (PRCS) regulations and make certain they are followed prior to commencing work on any equipment
- Must be responsible for immediately reporting all work hazards
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify, communicate and work to correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or hazardous workplace conditions
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned by lead millwright
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver’s license with no restrictions
- Minimum 2 years of Millwright work
Additional Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Experience troubleshooting issues, identifying and completing appropriate repairs, and implementing measures to prevent reoccurring maintenance problems
- Working knowledge of the operations, control, and functions of equipment and machinery
- Ability to be on-call 24/7
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
- Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
- Ability to work in extreme heights and confined spaces

Compensation: This includes base wage and may consist of other earnings depending upon position within CHS, consisting of bonuses, incentives, commissions, merit pay. This position may be an opportunity for promotion.
