CHS South America is looking for a Treasury Supervisor to become a member of our regional treasury team. This position will report directly to Treasury Manager - South America. You will also have exposure with the senior leadership team (General Management level) that will demand from you strong analytical and problem solving skills, orientation to results and consultative approach.
What will be the mission of this position?
Responsible for treasury operations of the region, the processing of accounts payable, cash application and barter settlement. Treasury operations includes management of daily cash position, loans portfolio, currencies exchange operations, currencies exposure and processing AP and cash application.
This includes ensuring treasury process are done in an efficiently way and considering a high standard of controls as well as tax and central bank regulations.
Essential Job Functions & Duties:
Supervise all the payments required daily. Watch up for the integrity of the information between the system and the bank accounts.
Manage the relationship with the source of financing such as Head Quarters, financial institutions and Banks. Daily decide the best alternative to fund the activity.
Ensure treasury activities are in compliance with treasury policies, accounting guidelines/procedures, governance policies and internal controls.
Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities.
Elaborate and ensure accuracy of the treasury report – Cash Flow & Risk monitoring.
Use FX hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the foreign exchange exposure (NDF / future market ROFEX).
Perform currencies exchange operations to convert dollars into local currency for daily payments.
Ensure accurate maintenance of bank account, balance, bank/Treasury systems and bank cost information.
Facilitate and assist company´s relationship with banks and financial community.
Support and develop JDE1 modules related to the finance activities (Treasury and AP).
Main Required Qualifications:
Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree (Business, Accounting, Economy or Agronomy).
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Treasury department, desired commodities trading company. Experience in evaluate financial services and bank products. Interested in process improvement.
Skills: Fluent in English; Portuguese desire; General knowledge of GAAP, tax and central bank regulations; Advanced analytical, negotiation, organization, and interpersonal skills; Attention to detail and accuracy. Capability to work under stress. Advance excel and Microsoft tools knowledge.
