Summary

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and manage a strong financial controls and accounting procedures environment.
  • Serve as a business partner to leaders to provide decision support enabling the attainment of business unit objectives.
  • Monitor and coordinate the application of evolving accounting guidance with finance departments and prepare reports to senior management on GAAP changes.
  • Determine accounting policies and procedures that will facilitate accurate reporting for management and external financial statement users.
  • Lead the month-end/year-end closing process for assigned business unit or group in accordance with the company accounting calendar, and preparation of monthly closing activities for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Direct the development and preparation of financial reports and analysis that support internal and external SEC reporting and footnote requirements for the financial quarterly close reporting process.
  • Lead the forecast and budget process to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Establish, implement, review, and improve internal control policies, procedures, and protocol.
  • Review country-specific required filings for accuracy and ensure timely filings; verify documentation is maintained to support differences in accounting practices and regulations to US GAAP.
  • Prepare precise year-end audit work papers in accordance with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Champion and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Recommend and facilitate the implementation of continuous system enhancements and improved reporting capabilities.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to team of direct reports. 
  • Perform other dutier and responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting including prior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilities

Additional Qualifications

  • Proficent in MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organization skills and analytical ability
  • Proven ability to build relationships and be successful in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

En esta oportunidad nos encontramos en la búsqueda de un perfil para la posición de Gerente de Contabilidad e Impuestos. 

Entre las principales responsabilidades, se encuentran:

  • Liderar la operación diaria contable e impositiva junto con el estudio externo.
  • Establecer y aplicar métodos, políticas y principios contables adecuados en consonancia con la políticas corporativas. 
  • Asegurar el correcto cierre de resultados mensual y cierre de balance anual. 
  • Coordinar auditorías contables y fiscales
  • Presentación de reportes mensuales, trimestrales y anuales. 
  • Identificar desvíos en los sistemas y procedimientos actuales e iniciar planes de acción correctivos. 

Requisitos:

  • Graduado/a en las carreras de Contador Público, o afines. 
  • Contar con al menos 5 años de experiencia en posiciones de liderazgo en el área contable, y experiencia en empresas que trabajen con normativas contables internacionales. 
  • Conocimiento de nomas contables internacionales (excluyente)
  • Dominio avanzado de idioma inglés.
