CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Strategic Sourcing group for a Sourcing/Procurement Intern. This role will play an important part in advancing specific Sourcing projects, driving efficiencies within our standard processes, and supporting core Sourcing activities. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail oriented, collaborative, and operate independently in a fast paced environment. This internship is for Summer 2023.
Responsibilities
- Support overall sourcing strategies, projects, and initiatives.
- Assist purchasing technology group in operational improvement and optimization projects.
- Assist with contract administration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of sourcing objectives and requirements.
- Participate in vendor selection events.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor and report on supplier performance.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Enrolled in relevant coursework in 2 or 4 year higher education institution or Masters level degree, or recent graduate interested in gaining internship experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Interest in agricultural business and/or sourcing/procurement, supply chain, business management, and technology.
