Specialist, Accounting Senior

Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Inver Grove Heights, MN area. We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our growing team. You must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, have the ability to multi-task, and problem solve.
Responsibilities
- With limited oversight, prepare payments.
- Handle payments of various types for multiple companies and suppliers.
- Manage internal and external customer inquiries.
- Resolve supplier payment concerns.
- Utilize electronic document file system.
- Prioritize daily workloads in order to meet specified deadlines and due dates.
- Monitor daily reports and update related data as required to ensure accurate vendor payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate and communicate with vendors, customer service representatives and account managers as needed.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- 2+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
Additional Qualifications
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Previous experience in accounting, bookeeping and interacting with internal and external customers
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field
- Previous experience with JDE and SAP accounting software preferred

- Farming background or agriculture experience preferred
