Job Description

Work in multiple projects doing requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, debug, unit test, document, and review of development efforts. Recognize the critical elements of complex application problems, develop, and evaluate data, determine solutions, and make logical recommendations. Work closely with the value stream members to deliver the development objects on time meeting CHS quality standards. Ensure delivery of high-quality products by adhering to CHS development standards and guidelines, performing code reviews and unit tests. Operate within the ITSM framework and adhere to SDLC and Agile methodologies. Remain current with newer capabilities in the SAP development framework and make recommendations when appropriate for continuous improvement. Guide and advise less experienced team members. Attend user groups, webinars, training, workshops, or conferences to learn new technologies and skills. Provide ABAP technical support for patch and release upgrades, meet regulatory compliance requirements periodically audit standards. Position allows work from home anywhere in the United States.

Job Requirements

The qualified candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Systems or a closely related field. The qualified candidate must have at least 7 years (84 months) of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience with all the following: (a) experience in ABAP programming with development and support of business application systems including analysis, technical design, programming, review, and testing; (b) developing and designing programs; (c) fixing bugs and code review; (d) enhancing quality of software applications; and (e) utilizing all the following tools/technologies: DTS, PTP, OTC, FTM, ERP, SAP ECC, S4 ABAP: Data Dictionary, Indexes, Module pool programming, Data Migration Techniques, SAP Scripts, Smart forms, Adobe Forms, ABAP Objects, OOps, Enhancement Framework, BAPI, RFCs, Kernel BADIs, Customer/Implicit/explicit exits, ALE, EDI, Change Pointers, Events, OSS, SAP Market Place, SNotes, SAP Vistex Integration, 3rd party Webservices, Proxies - File, IDoc, and Function module. All experience may be gained concurrently. Position allows work from home anywhere in the United States.
