Senior SAP Basis Administrator

Job Description

Develop, maintain and support CHS’ complex hosted, on-premise and cloud SAP technical infrastructure, hardware and system software components. Plan and execute S/4 HANA technical upgrades and patches to the system by assisting in researching technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported and aligned with industry and company standards. Assist in the analysis of new and existing architectures to ensure IT platforms meet reliability expectations to enhance customer satisfaction. Maintain an efficient and reliable SAP landscape. Participate in the definition of KPI and their respective metrics. Provide technical design of individual SAP components and work with CHS’ managed services partner. Generate conceptual, logical, and physical architectures, system documents, testing analyses, test plans and risk assessments to ensure a sound architecture. Identify existing and potential issues and design matters in overall system and solution architecture; Implement solutions to ensure that best practices and processes are followed and enhanced. Execute Basis projects, including SAP implementations, upgrades, OS/DB migrations, High Availability and Disaster Recovery setup across data centers. Perform administration of BW, BOBJ and BO Data Services, hands on SAP BW/BI Basis administration experience in relation to troubleshooting and fine tuning of large volume data loads, pre and post system copy processes, and BW on HANA administration. SAP Database administration: design and implement physical database layout, perform database reorganization, upgrades, design and implement backup and restore strategy, design, and maintain database high availability, disaster recovery, security, performance tuning, manage database storage, and troubleshooting. Provide AWS cloud migration and cloud administration. Utilize all the following tools and technologies: SAP ECC, S/4HANA , BW/4HANA ,CPI and PO on Linux and Windows operating systems. Job Requirements

The qualified candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related field. The qualified candidate must have at least 7 years (84 months) of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience working with SAP Basis Administration. The qualified candidate must have at least 7 years (84 months) of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience with all the following: (a) Implementing and providing operation support on ABAP and JAVA stacks; (b) Being responsible for performance tuning, installations, documentation, upgrades and monitoring of SAP applications and NetWeaver Suite of products; (c) Managing HANA, Sybase, and SQL Server databases in a SuSe Linux/Windows environment; (d) Managing software logistics according to audit/governance protocol between Development, Quality Assurance, and Production to support successful application development and releases for the entire implementation lifecycle using transports, client copies, and other SAP proprietary change technologies ; and (e) Experience in High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup and Recovery of SAP systems.
