Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Energy group. We are looking for a Lab Technician Intern, Lubricants to support in a variety of tasks including running routine tests and conducting finished product quality analysis. The successful candidate will learn testing with laboratory instruments. Recording of test results in quality management software. Candidates must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Support lubricants lab & quality staff with performing laboratory tests on production batches of Cenex Lubricants, in addition to other brands and private label formulas. Must be accurately input the results from each instrument into the appropriate sections of quality software and Certificates of Analysis.
  • Interact and manage relationships with various production people including supervisors and office staff.
  • Work independently, manage time, and organize tasks to make sure all work is completed in assigned time.
  • Manage projects with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Currently enrolled in a Chemistry related degree program (entering into final year of college in the Fall of 2021)

Additional Qualifications

  • Having completed a previous internship within a science field
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Experience reading and building analytical reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft software
