CHS Inc. is looking for an Inventory Analyst to join our Agronomy-Crop Nutrients team.


Inventory Control Processes and Procedures

  • Develop and utilize standard processes and procedures to ensure timely management and reconciliation of Crop Nutrients inventories and master data accuracy
  • Accurately maintain inventory levels at off-premise inventory (OPI) locations through coordination with Supply, Sales, Business Operations, Finance, and the onsite third parties
  • Provide guidance to team responsible for the capturing and reporting of inventory as per internal needs and external compliance
  • Develop automation tools and enhanced procedures to reduce amount of manual entry required to capture, report, and reconcile inventory data
  • Collaborate with the Supply, Sales, and Finance teams to resolve inventory balance discrepancies and ensure annual shrink requirements are met
  • Conduct monthly invoicing to vendor partners for consigned storage and thru-put fees
  • Provide support to the Crop Nutrients Team with continuous improvement efforts associated with the third-party storage providers
  • Develop measurements and monthly reports designed to identify inventory discrepancies, performance and provide guidance for operational planning

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, or other related field or at least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to balance strategic and tactical thought and action
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and manage time appropriately
  • Communicate effectively and build relationships within and outside of the enterprise
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple teams
  • Attention to detail with an analytical and business acumen
  • Strong skills in MS office suite of products (Intermediate or Advanced in Excel)

Additional Qualifications

  • Demonstrated process discipline that includes building, maintaining, and improving effective processes
  • Proven adaptability and ability to lead others through change
  • JDE and/or loadout software experience
  • Continuous improvement mindset
