CHS has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Business Intelligence Analyst in our growing Internal Audit team.
This newly created role would directly support IT audits using data extracts and data analytics. Key responsibilities may include extracting data from a central data repository (using tools like SQL), using data visualization to summarize the data in an easy-to-use format, and partnering with IT on developing data standards. Coding experience is also preferred as we create analyses in Microsoft Excel and IDEA/ACL and create formulas within our visualization tools. This role will be important as it grows our audit team’s capabilities by providing data-driven insights on a project basis, as well as partnering with IT customers to help make their processes more efficient.
Create real-time performance dashboards using central data for internal use on a variety of audits, for example, IT ticketing systems, SAP ERP configurations, Master Data, Accounts Payable, Time and Expense, etc.
Use tools to extract SAP configuration data to support annual IT controls testing.
Explore opportunities to automate/create efficiency in IT data extraction and controls testing processes.
Be part of our new Center of Excellence capability focused on achieving consistent high-quality audit insights leveraging data analytics.
Create repeatable tests that could be used for a variety of audits, for example, examining service levels/approvals/timeliness within help desk ticketing desk systems, or, creating fraud tests for AP data (such as looking at suspicious dollar amounts and Benford’s Law anomalies).
Maintain and enhance tools to track audit findings, actions, progress, and completion.
Assist with the annual IT risk assessment to support annual planning.
Become a trusted advisor to business and IT leaders on current and emerging IT risks, IT controls, and cost-effective technology solutions.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or other related degree.
1+ years of full-time work experience with data analysis (visualization tools) or IT audits.
Ability to effectively communicate analytical concepts and audit findings to business stakeholders.
Experience with Microsoft Excel to include (but not limited to): formulas, v-lookups, pivot tables, macros, etc.
Proficient with and direct work application of one or more of the following data visualization or analytics tools:
Direct work experience with SAP or JDE 9.0 in a data management or related role.
Direct work experience creating executive level dashboards, analytics, and reports.
