Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our CHS Hedging Division located in Inver Grove Heights, MN. We are looking for a Commodity Broker to join the team. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be detail oriented.
Responsibilities
- Perform market analysis of all commodities to support the hedging and trading decisions of our commercial and production agriculture customer base which maximizes profit potential while effectively manages risk (primary focus on Fertilizer and Energy).
- Provide customer service to retain and expand current business plus solicit new business.
- Responsible for positions, delivery and options for all assigned accounts and/or commodities.
- Develop opportunities in hedging, basis trading, farmer programs, transportation planning and government programs.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations.
- Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related agricultural fields
- 1+ years of progressive commodity risk management experience
Additional Qualifications
- Successful completion of NASD Series 3 exam and be NFA registerable
- Fertilizer/Energy/Grain/Livestock/Dairy marketing
- Knowledge of ag-production methods
- Ability to compose market/commodity reports
- Analytical, a problem solver, customer service oriented, a team player, promotional and detail oriented
Physical Requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% (including overnight travel)
